School Band Pilot Program - Reeds for Local Bands!

EasyReeds is launching a pilot program to help school bands in Maine! Selected bands will get to try the EasyReed synthetic saxophone and clarinet reeds for their band in the 2026-2027 school year, and provide feedback on their and their students’ experience with them.

What is the pilot program?

A three month program to understand how EasyReeds can most effectively support directors of school bands in Maine.

How does it work ?

We will select two to three schools for the pilot, based on the short application form. 

For schools that are selected, EasyReeds will provide free saxophone and clarinet reeds for the band for the 2026-2027 school year. 

We will conduct three 30 minute interviews with the band directors at the beginning and end of the pilot with one touch base in the middle, and ask you to complete a survey on your experience.

Who can join ?

The short answer is - all Maine bands! For the pilot, we are looking for diverse participation from all over the state - rural and urban bands, small bands and large. 

When can I apply ?

Applications open June 1 and will be accepted through September 15.
