Classical Sax Mega-Test: EasyReeds at Snow Pond Music Festival

It was a privilege to spend an afternoon with such talented musicians at Frederick L. Hemke Saxophone Institute at Snow Pond Music Festival. Thirty talented musicians from all over the country generously gave us their time to try our product, give feedback, and make beautiful music with EasyReeds saxophone reeds.

Players loved the warm tones of the reeds, which some listeners told us were much more like the tone of natural cane reeds than other synthetics they have tried and heard, and generally praised the ease of articulation and projection. Slap tonguing felt easy, especially for the baritone saxophone players.

One surprise (for the musicians and for us!) was in the production of multiphonics, which produced a unique sound not present in other reeds. "It was almost like a different instrument!" We think Adolphe Sax would have been proud.

Special thanks to Dr. Gail Levinsky for extending the invitation to EasyReeds and to Drs John Sampen, and Paul Bro for the support during our session.
